Assignment 1 Animation in After Effects

What were you trying to accomplish?
I made a short animation in After Effects but I didn't meet the requirements for the length of the video.

What technical skills did you use to create the project?
First I used Photoshop and found some brushes online that I liked and then I used After Effects to create an animation.

How do you feel you did on the project?
It was frustrating for me because I created the video then I went and tried to make it longer which was a pain in the butt but still isn't long enough. And I couldn't figure out how to add music to it so I don't feel like it's as good as it could have been. Will you show us how to add music to a video? I would like to know :)

I'm really proud of how it turned out because I think it looks really good. It makes me want to create more things in After Effects. :) Below is a link to the tutorial I chose. Which happens to be the one that Martin posted on the assignment page. :) Glass Orb Tutorial

What were you trying to accomplish?  I wanted to see if I could recreate this classic Barbie of my childhood in Adobe Illustrator. What technical skills did you use to create the project? I used Adobe Illustrator. I used the pen tool a lot and the pencil tool. I also created a lot of gradients. In hindsight I wish I would have used pathways or whatever it's called because I spent about 5 hours on just her hair.  How do you feel you did on the project? Overall I think I did pretty good. It was harder redoing her eyes because the photo was so pixelated. But I spent around 10 hours on it so I think I did well. :)
