Assignment 3 Drawing with a tablet....or a mouse :)



What were you trying to accomplish?
I wanted to drawing using the water color art brush and the charcoal art brush. I found a photo of a rose and a humming bird that I liked and used as a point of reference for the general shape of both things. And for the colors I used in the humming bird especially. 

What technical skills did you use to create the project?
I used Adobe Illustrator and my mouse to draw with. I used the brush tool and the pencil tool. 

How do you feel you did on the project?
Overall I think I did well but I know that there is a lot of white space. Since we couldn't use solid fill colors I found it a bit challenging. I think it could be better if I had known what to put in all the white space.

Assignment 14 Zoetrope

What were you trying to accomplish? To create a cute heart animation using shapes I created in Illustrator.  What technical skills did you use to create the project? I used Adobe Illustrator and used action, the shape tool and the white arrow tool.  How do you feel you did on the project? I think I did what the assignment required but still don't know how to add music. I also would have liked to add more hearts.

Assignment 16 Vintage Art

What were you trying to accomplish?  I wanted to see if I could recreate this classic Barbie of my childhood in Adobe Illustrator. What technical skills did you use to create the project? I used Adobe Illustrator. I used the pen tool a lot and the pencil tool. I also created a lot of gradients. In hindsight I wish I would have used pathways or whatever it's called because I spent about 5 hours on just her hair.  How do you feel you did on the project? Overall I think I did pretty good. It was harder redoing her eyes because the photo was so pixelated. But I spent around 10 hours on it so I think I did well. :)
